Dawn, thanks for your insight! You are one of those people that I believe connected with me in-person and anxious to see the result. Not sure when, not sure where, but I'm sure we'll be doing something together at some point :)

Your point on God connecting people is so true! He sets things in motion and he works through his people. It's a beautiful thing to stop and consider.

Looking forward to seeing continued greatness from you! I'm so jealous of your personality and enthusiasm. You rock!

Dave:

SO appreciate your thoughts here...especially the point that having a gazillion followers doesn't qualify you as a networker. A phone book has a bunch of names, but there's no relationship.

I network because I see intrinsic beauty in every person I meet online and off. It fascinates me how varied, diverse and gifted God has created each person. I see it as an opportunity to notice God's grace in someone else's story.

The other reason I network is that I love to see God connect people. Needs with resources. My 20-something friends mock me mercilessly because they hear me say "it is God, networking people together" and it is true. He created the Body of Christ with all manner of folk and when we can serve one another in community, it is a beautiful thing.

Those are my thoughts..
.
