When life brings you lemons…

…make lemonade! What happens when you believe God gave you a vision for grape juice, yet you get lemons instead?

One of the blogs I follow is from Chris Reeder, a fellow church planter and interestingly enough, even though he is in South Carolina he leads a church named Revolution Church. Anyway, he posted today about how he was feeling a little discouraged and that someone forwarded him an email that was the right message at the right time (Click here for the post). This got me to thinking about something. I’ve been a little worn out from ministry lately and at times I have been discouraged. However, some of what I have been dealing with has to do with areas that affect the original vision I believe that God gave me for Revolution Church Sacramento. Are some of the setbacks and feeling tired and a little discouraged the result of me being caught up with not meeting some personal expectations or could they be a sign that God is signaling some changes coming up?

It seems like the prayer and discernment in this pastor’s life is always going to be called upon so that I can always see the forest through the trees.
