For some strange reason the song (Warning: I am about to show my old age) Dreamer by Supertramp popped into my head. When I hear the song it reminds me of people that sit around and dream, yet never put things into motion to see their dreams become a reality. It’s sad to me, but I know it’s not sad to others. To me, so many people just don’t dream or they don’t dream very big. Those people will just live ordinary and unchanging lives. There is nothing wrong with that if it makes them happy, but imagine if no one ever had big dreams and strove to see them become a reality. It amazes me to realize that the USA sent a manned spacecraft to the moon when I was 2 1/2 years old and 39 years later we are so far beyond that stage that we don’t even think about the moon anymore--Space shuttle launches are so commonplace that they aren’t even televised anymore. We’re now set to explore galaxies outside of our own Milky Way in search of other life in space. That’s a long way to go in just 39 years! Imagine what the world would have been like if no one ever dreamt of going to the moon?
There are those that dream and are happy imagining “What if?” and those that take the dreams from others and help them materialize. However, when someone has the ability to dream big and develops the passion to see the big dream become a reality…oh boy…give that person some room to work!
May God be raising up leaders of the future with big dreams & giving them a passion to see them unleashed onto the world!
