Sunday night decompression

Revolution Church Sacramento completed it’s One Prayer preview services in June and won’t formally gather together again until September ’08. However, until then I’ll be posting my thoughts about service at Living Stone Community Church where I still serve as an assistant pastor:

  • After an invitation to repent and be baptized we had 8 people come forward…of the 8 total, 6 people were brand new believers that had professed their faith in Christ for the very first time. Simply awesome!
  • For whatever reason, the video message I prepared was really dark on the screen. I need to figure out how to correct that.
  • I really appreciated not having the worship team practicing all the way up to our start time for service. There was a sense of peace and fellowship going on which was really great!
  • When you least expect it, God makes his presence known in such a way that it can only be attributed to God…I absolutely love experiencing the surprise and joy in other’s faces when God moves in big and magnificent ways.
  • I’m on 2 hours of sleep and 2 church services + a long fellowship time on Folsom Lake with the church youth…still have a surprising amount of energy!
  • I’m hopeful that the infusion of a little extra energy for next Sunday’s service will help get things going…people seemed kind of tired today.
  • God is good, all the time!
